giving thanks and giving ingratitude, you never know around here

I'm so disgusted. Spent three days working on a gift project that is not going to work out. For that matter, poor DH must have worked who-knows-how-long on my birthday gift project, some kind of device that plays my music in the car, and it won't work for me. It began to play the same song over and over, and it was surprisingly difficult to even to turn it off and just play the radio. In fact, I'm still not sure of how I got back into radio mode, but it seemed to involve much cursing, swearing, and swerving along the highway.

Decided to have an early Thanksgiving yesterday. Got the house all pretty with candles. Got my two-headed Native American vase with the hand-polished Petosky stone pendant all filled with autumn flowers from the yard. Cornish hen stuffed with cornbread stuffing and browned with a nice butter baste. A nod to DH's low-carb diet when I left the crust off the pumpkin pie and instead created a scrumptious pumpkin pie pudding. It certainly met with Cookie's approval. At least we're eating well around here...!

Peachfront's Note: There has never been a world traveler quite as whackadoo as Peachfront. For your approval, I submit to you my recent around-the-world jaunt featuring the crazy Farewell Gambling Tour plus big-ass mileage run from New Orleans to Detroit to Macau to Hong Kong and back again. Oh yeah, and earlier in the month, I also visited D.C. and grabbed the Yellow Rail for my life list at the 2011 Yellow Rail and Rice Festival in Jennings, Louisiana. Click as desired to get the whole story:

I'm just back from the Farewell Gambling Tour, so start with part one, New Orleans, or continue to part two, Detroit, and part three, more Detroit/Greektown, and part 4, I take Macau, and part 5, Hong Kong don't scare me none. And please don't forget to check out my October jaunts by clicking on the photos below.
